I always feel that the sight of snowdrops is the turning point of winter! xx

We can hope…

These little fellows popped their angelic heads out of our flower beds a little while ago. Then the Arctic winds blew and and killed them all. Next year I’m planting penguins.

Aaaarrgh! Arrrrgh! Run! Flee! Panic…. oh… OK
Given you’re on first name terms with the old weather gods is there any chance you get could get them make it behave like spring is on its way please? Bored of this cold weather now.

Moobs – aargh, don’t say that, this was supposed to be a hopeful post
Dom – I may be on first name terms with them, but I don’t have any influence, if the return of the fog outside our window is anything to go by

You must be a way south of me. Though it looks like there might be some developments on the garlic front…

You are way ahead of us, although I must admit I haven’t ventured far afield in the last few days having caught the dreaded cold bug that is going around. I will never mingle with Joe Public again…

Ah, we’re in the subtropical (that’s very very sub tropical) South West, you see.
Also I found it nestling right up to the house,in a sunny(ish) sheltered corner, so it may be a bit premature.

Bums! I like winter – the colder the better – kills off more morks in the garden so the plants don’t get eaten so badly in spring & summer. I demand more winter and proper temperatures like they get in Canada, Norway & Russia – I worked outside down to -40C in Canada, nothing stopped – people just adjusted their clothing & driving style to suit the conditions.

As I am now wearing all my clothes, I’m not sure what further adjustment can be made. Other than retiring to bed until March…

Aggg! You just have the *wrong* clothes for your environment… mind you the job I had in Canada was manual and in -40C, after an hour of work it was down to jeans, t-shirt, gloves and goggles (after peeling off 2 pairs of salopettes, shirt, sweatshirt, 2nd sweatshirt and coat).

Oh my! How gorgeous is that shot! I shall not tell you our temperatures in the last two weeks, but I do hope your Rayburn is working soon and that you manage to stay warm.

Nikki – it’s nothing compared with your flower shots, but thanks.
