London Bound

As you read this, I shall be rattling my way south courtesy of Virgin Trains or – more likely – sitting in a siding somewhere watching what’s left of Cumbria wash past the windows of the train. Either way, posting will be light-to-nonexistent until I return.

I shall be staying with these two minxes – the latter showing how wellies really can be worn on a bike with style. I appear to have been roped in to babysit as well. Posting resumes on Friday, if I am spared.

Managed to get from Edinburgh to Sussex via train system on Sunday. I know that was East Coast, but still surprised there were no delays.
Only difficulty with rain/floods was that last leg of journey was bus instead of train. Bus was parked in middle of enormous and deep puddle.
Very hard to jump with full suitcase, laptap and rucksack containing walking boots.
Hope your journey goes well and your visit south is fun.
I do enjoy reading your blog.

Forget “fixies” and dutch bikes, I think wellies and “scoot along” wooden bikes could be the next London cycle fashion.

Surely with todays assortment of wireless and mobile internet technology being away from home should not be a barrier to posting. For a nominal small [large] fee I could update your technology so we are not devoid of our daily read :D

It’s not the technology, it’s the lack of on-topic material to post about…
