I have delighted in the fact that US, a country whose populous is largely indifferent to, if not ignorant of, association football beat In-Ger-Land in their group.
I was also delighted that my Bajan flag [slightly smaller than expected] arrived today. It’s flying proudly in our office, along with a piddly South African flag and a whole host of In-Ger-Land flags of varying sizes.
And I think everyone can join in the rejoicing that France is out, no?
Having listened to the litany of anti-English comments that my in-laws like to season their conversation with, it was quietly amusing when no-one would accept their Scottish notes in shops. Their outrage was unlimited.
hehe – they solve that problem here by simply never going to England. Except Carlisle, which doesn’t really count
