Walking at night in the snow is the best for me. If you’ve got a clear night and a bright moon the snow reflects the light and everything is bright and nice.

I love walking late at night when everyone else is asleep and there’s nothing but me, the dog and the owls – even better on clear nights when the stars are twinkling above and the moon hangs bright and low.

I’ve heard a pair of thick, woolly socks slipped on over the shoes does the job just as well as those crampon thingies…

How intrepid you are! I can’t imagine walking about in the country like that, but I would bet the stars are gorgeous (when visible) and there was a full moon last night, so I’m not surprised at its brightness. However, the temperature was probably downright frigid. — Can you use your Apocalypse proof jacket for walking, too?
