Aaah. Right. And that would be why a valve on this boiler got stuffed late last year. Lots of gunge in the bottom of this old metal tank. Thanks! x

My understanding is that they’re sensitive to the sludge at the bottom of the tank which gets stirred up if it’s too empty. But then they’re sensitive to everything …

Every time I order oil and happen to mention it’s low, they always ask if I’ve got a Rayburn/Aga and sound very relieved when I say no. Wonder why. But I love your ironing technique. Wonder if putting them inside a low oven would work. Probably not a good idea.
