		<description><![CDATA[That fits in with Japanese and rice: the stuff is used in a lot of religious ritual, and shrines are based on rice storage houses, I think rice is even sprinkled on things to purify them, so I could well imagine that other cultures treated their food with similar reverence.
Or it could just be that it was a sense of humour and imagination, or that when you are building with bamboo and wood there&#039;s a limited number of architectural options.
