It’s been raining all day here. I’ve done nothing but mooch, drink too many cups of tea and eat far too many digestives.
Harumph.
No fireplace here, although I hear those below us (in the building) have up to four in their apartments.
We don’t get those vivid red colours here in Austria. Not sure what gives. Very prevalent in parts of Canada though. Maybe the fluctuations in temperature?
Yeah, sorry about the fireplace thing. We’ve got to have something to fend off the worst excesses of the weather gods!
@Bob The wind and rain usually does for the autumn colour before it really gets going – that’s a Japanese Maple in a very sheltered location…
Well us soft southerners will be off to westonbirt to look at the maples. Also spending the weekend in a pub in Somerset near bath, do rented fires count?
